A little story about Max. My other dog, “Lulu”, had cancer when I painted this. Actually maybe I didn’t know quite yet. The next few months would be ups and downs like a roller coaster. I lost my best friend of 11 years this past October. Little did I know I was painting what my new best friend would look like who I rescued just 3 weeks ago! Serendipity. He’s darker, but has an uncanny resemblance!
