John Franklin Smith lies here. My late and distant cousin Mark Twain traveled on the USS Quaker City. He later released a book about his travels called, “Innocents Abroad”. After Twain, John Smith traveled on the same ship releasing his own stories in, “Sketches of Travel in Spain and East”. One thing is certain, and that is everyone sees things in this world differently. Different events happen at different times. Not one minute, second, nor hour is like the other. Here John’s tomb of a lady drops roses. I like to think of these roses as the stories some were lucky enough to leave behind.
